Public Information Meeting on Proposed Support Building

Thursday, April 20, 2017
Children’s Office Park

Event Summary

In order to begin construction on the replacement hospital, Children’s must relocate its support staff currently working in the older, one-story office buildings on the site.

On Wednesday, April 5, Children’s filed an application for annexation of five properties along Northeast Expressway into the city of Brookhaven. In addition, Children’s submitted a request for a special land use permit (SLUP) with the city of Brookhaven on some of the annexed properties. These filings are a first step toward building a replacement office building for support employees who will be displaced by future hospital construction.

If the permit is approved, Children’s plans call for an eight-story replacement office building, of which two stories will be partially underground, and associated parking deck.

Children’s hosted a public meeting to allow input and feedback on this project on Thursday, April 20, at 1680 Tullie Circle, Classroom 5.
